Rick Raines, Senior Minister (Contact)
Richmond is Rick's hometown. Fairmount is Rick's home church, having spent the first 18 years of his life at Fairmount when it was located on Mechanicsville Turnpike. He came back to Fairmount in 1997, first as Associate Minister, and, since 2006, as our Senior Minister. This is Rick's second preaching ministry, having preached for seven years in Painted Post, New York. Before that, while in seminary, he served as a youth minister in Louisville, Kentucky. Rick graduated from Milligan College in 1986 and from Southern Seminary in 1989. Rick met Betsy when he was a student at Milligan and they have been married for 23 years. They have two children, Matthew and Erin, both students at Milligan College. He and his family enjoy traveling, reading, playing Wii, making music, sports of all kinds, and eating out. |
Chris Santasiere, Associate Minister (Contact)
Chris grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He graduated from Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Illinois in 1997 with a degree in Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Preaching. Chris has served at churches in Illinois, Kansas and Virginia; and, has been on staff at Fairmount since 2004. Chris is married to Holly and they have three children: Hope, Caleb and Hayden. |

Mike Langley, Associate Minister (Contact)
Mike and his wife Tina have been married long enough to have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. After several years in the military Mike finished his undergraduate work at Atlanta Christian College and went to Cincinnati Christian University to do graduate work. He has spent his years in the ministry as a Youth Minister, planting a church in Florida, being a Senior Minister, preaching for churches in Japan offering International Worship Services and as Associate Minister. Mike joined the staff at Fairmount in July of 2008. He and his wife enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and visiting historical places. |
Tracy Thomas, Worship/Music Minister (Contact)
Tracy Thomas is a graduate of Cincinnati Bible College, where he majored in Piano Performance. He has done graduate work at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), and has a Master's of Music Education degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He has held music ministries in Indiana, Ohio, Nevada, and Virginia and was as an Assistant Professor of Music at the Cincinnati Bible College. He served for 14 years as the Minister of Music for the Brownsburg Christian Church in Brownsburg, Indiana prior to coming to Fairmount in the fall of 2002. Tracy and Janie met in college and have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Megan and Micah, and two granddaughters, Tia and Aly. He enjoys reading, Sudoku, eating out, and playing Wii. |

Joe Thompson, Youth Minister (Contact)
Joe Thompson is originally from Seaford, VA where he spend his entire childhood. After graduating high school, he headed to Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, TN where he earned his MA in Bible & Youth Ministry/Preaching. While Joe was in college he spent his summers highly involved in youth ministry serving as the youth ministry intern/interim at Northampton Church of Christ for a summer and serving as a summer conference intern with Christ In Youth for another summer. Joe is married to Beth whom he grew up with in the youth group at his home church in Hampton. They are expecting their first child, a son (Brennen), in April of '10. Joe is a die hard Chicago Cubs fan (is there really any other kind?). He loves preaching, leading worship, playing video games, and his newest obsession is Starbucks coffee. At Fairmount, Joe uses his talents to lead the youth ministry program and help teenagers navigate through maze of their teenage years. Rose Williams, Chidren's Ministry Director (Contact)
Rose began ministering to youth as a young adult when she and her husband, Carson, volunteered to lead their first youth group. Although her career path led her into accounting, her heart kept her actively loving and serving children and families at Fairmount. In 2000, when the Fairmount elders decided to establish a more focused children's ministry, Rose was the person they called as their first Children's Director. As she begins the tenth year in this position, Rose continues to delight in the opportunity to serve God in children's ministry. |

Bob Massey, Business Administrator (Contact)
Bob Massey was born in Shacklefords, Virginia, and is the oldest of seven children. He was educated in the public schools of King & Queen County, except for the 10th grade when he attended a private school in Tabor, Iowa. He graduated from Greenville College, in Greenville, Illinois. He taught high school and coached basketball at King William High School. He has over 40 years of experience in business as a purchasing agent, sales manager, corporate secretary/treasurer, vice president and president/CEO. He has been a member of Fairmount for over 34 years and has served as the Business Administrator since 2001. Bob is married to Deanie; they have two children and five grandchildren. |
Veronica Brewster, Office Manager (Contact)
Veronica Brewster was born and raised in Richwood, WV. She graduated from both Marshall University and West Virginia University with degrees in Education. Veronica moved back to Richwood and taught school, married Larry and moved to Culpeper, VA, Oakland, MD and finally Mechanicsville, VA with Larry's job. When Evan, their son, went to Kindergarten in 1997, she began volunteering in the Fairmount office one day a week. Rainelle Currier trained Veronica over the next few years and she began working full-time in the office in 2002. Veronica loves music, watching sports, especially football, and spending time with friends and family. |

Barry Will, Technology Director (Contact)
Barry was raised in Tallahassee, FL and graduated from Liberty University in 1987 with a degree in Television Production and Computer Science. He has worked for NBC and FOX television stations in Florida and was the IT manager of a small aircraft charter company in Richmond. Barry and his wife, Karen, have been members of Fairmount since 2000. They have three children, Xander, Ashton and Alexa. Barry joined Fairmount's staff in 2006. |

Larry Haake, IV, Child Care Program Director (Contact)
Larry was born and raised here in Richmond. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002 with a degree in Political Science. He grew up at the former Chippenham Church of Christ in Chesterfield County and began worshipping at Fairmount in 1995. Larry has been working in the Child Care Program since 1997. He was Assistant Director for five years and has been Director since 2005. |
